Import Errors

This guide explains how to handle import errors in the platform.

Import Errors Example

Common Reasons for Import Errors

Invalid Claim IDs

This error occurs when the claim IDs in the import file do not match any claim IDs in the system. Some imports require claim IDs to be present in the import file. This is typically the first field in each import file. In the case of the document import, the claim ID is extracted from the filename. See the Document Batch Upload Guide for more information.

Incorrect Header Row

This error occurs when the header row in the import file is not formatted correctly. The header row is used to map the data in the import file to the correct fields in the system. If the header row is not formatted correctly, the data will not be imported correctly.

Incorrect Data Types

This error occurs when the data in the import file is not formatted correctly. For example, if a numeric field is expected, but a string is provided, this error will occur.

Missing Required Fields

This error occurs when a required field is missing from the import file. Each import type has different requirements for the data in the import file. Refer to the specific import guide for the required fields.
